As of October 1st, any child over 5 years old can be issued a Florida
Identification card. This will allow your child to be placed into
the D.A.V.I.D. (Driver And Vehicle Information Database) system
which can provide vital information, with photo, for law enforcement
having an immediate way of having vital information available in
case of abduction/missing/runaway.
Parents can take their children to any Driver License Office to
obtain an identification card for their child. The cost is only $3.00
